We received this note to pass along from our friends at the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission. Your feedback will help them develop the region’s housing plan.
The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission is writing a Lehigh Valley Housing Plan. Over the last months we have reviewed every housing sale in the Lehigh Valley between 2008 and 2013, and are now looking at access and income. For example, if your family earns $75,000 a year or $50,000 a year where can you afford to live? What housing is available to you? How far will you need to commute?
While this quantitative information is remarkable we need your help to better understand the qualitative issues in the region. As such, we are very pleased to announce that we have scheduled 10 Regional Housing Plan Meetings in January and February to compliment the Allentown and Bethlehem meetings held last November. These facilitated discussions will look at market pressures, non-housing factors influencing housing and, answer basic questions about the types of housing people want, and if these types of housing are available.
We look forward to seeing you at one of these meetings.
And, if you haven’t already taken our housing survey please take the couple of minutes to participate in planning the future of housing in our area by clicking on this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LVPCHOUSINGMATTERSSURVEY.
