Werley’s Corner Bridge
The Werley’s Corner Road Bridge has been closed by PennDOT due to the deteriorating condition of the bridge.

After input from Heidelberg Township property owners, residents and officials PennDOT has decided to remove the bridge and create a cul-de-sac road from Route 309 to the creek. The section of Werleys Corner Road from Route 100 to the creek will be abandoned as a public roadway.

Adopt-a-Highway
The Adopt-A-Highway program reinforces PennDOT’s litter pick-up efforts by involving citizens across the Commonwealth in anti-litter efforts in Pennsylvania’s collective “front yard”, its 150,000 acres of roadside. The program serves to provide clean, well cared-for highways for Pennsylvania’s citizens, highway users and the millions of tourists who visit the state each year. The program allows groups or individuals to become special “caretakers” of portions of state highways.
