JAKES Youth Field Day!

The National Wild Turkey Federation, in conjunction with Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, will be holding their annual JAKES Youth Field Day at the Gun Club on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019.  This event educates approximately 150 children, ages 8-12, in the JAKES program and 50 children, ages 12-16, in the Xtremes program.

 The JAKES program has 10 educational stations which include archery, canoeing, fishing, NWTF take aim, rimfire 22 shooting, trapping and more. 

 The Xtremes program includes archery shooting, tree stand safety, rifle shooting and much more.  You must have at least one year in the JAKES program before enrolling in Xtremes. 

 The program is free to all participants!  Each child will receive a complimentary

T-shirt and lunch is provided.

  • Address and telephone number
  • T-Shirt size (Youth small through XL, Adult small thru XL)
  • Chaperone name: MANDATORY – 1:1 unless in the same family
  • Names of preferred other youths in same group
  • Number of years of prior attendance, if any

 After registration, you will receive a release form that needs to be signed and returned.

 This is a fun event for children to experience and learn about the programs listed above.  Registration begins at 7 a.m.  The day’s events start at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m.  Please join us for a great day!
